If you're an alcoholic susceptible to advertisement, you can't buy food at the grocery store without subjecting yourself to alcohol ads. In some states you cannot drive on public roads without consuming alcohol advertisements. It's disgusting, the status-quo is set so low that this won't even register on the scummery leaderboards for many people.
It's way too late for us to start drawing the line now, as Americans. This is a road we paved with our own negligence.
It's never too late to set a bar. You're arguing for pessimism on the basis I'm fucked by roadside ads? That's like saying kids TV should have hooters ads because they see them driving to kindy anyway.
